"When I think of Grandma Tano...I remember..."

I just recalled a conversation I had with Aunty Marge, during which I talked about ways our children and cousins can get to know our grandparents. With today's technology we have a variety of ways that we can keep in touch with family members, keep dairies or journals, preserve images and videos, etc... So, I was thinking that when you have time. I'd like you to write something that you remember about Grandma Tano or even Grandpa Tano too. You should also check out my new site that is still under construction, but always being updated.

"When I think of Grandma Tano..."

Amy-Gene Tano: "I remember... she taught me a very important lesson when I was yet in my youth. She taught me to be ambitious and always strive to be a better person because I was always on the bottom of her ladder. Good ol' Brett was always on the top of the ladder because he knew how to knit. :)."

Brett Tano: "I remember... she was the bomb for teaching me how to crochet. I learned how to make beanie caps."

Jarem Tano: "I remember... every Sunday Grandma Tano would be the first one up and ready to go to church. Even if church didn't start for 3 more hours. As she got older in age, sometimes Grandma Tano would be ready for church the day before."

Mayumi Tano: "I remember... Grandma Tano is very yasashikute, utsukushikute, "yasaikute"... I love talking to Grandma Tano in the care home and pushing her in the wheelchair."

Mika Tano: "I remember...Grandma Tano didn't cook much but she would always make sushi, guava and lilikoi jelly, and muffins. As far as church, she had a strong testimony on tithing. Grandma Tano would always tell us how Grandpa Tano would make just 10 cents an hour and they'd pay tithing diligently every month and didn't even once have to borrow from the bank."

Emi Tano: "I remember...Grandma Tano has one of the quickest left hooks."
